Another perfect score!

One of the tests I get daily is a Biophysical Profile.  They test his movement, practice breathing, cord blood flow, blood flow to the brain and abdomen and heart rate.   We don't lose points for the absent blood flow (which means blood goes out at the right rate but doesn't come back in, bringing the nutrients he needs) but we do lose points if it gets worse.   Or if he doesn't move enough, isn't taking practice breaths, etc.   We HAVE to score an 8/8 to stay on bed rest with an inside baby.   If we get a 6/8 more than once, we are looking at delivering.  Luckily, he has been improving, so we are further from the threshold we were at.

Today was another 8/8! He has been quiet most of the day, sleeping a lot, but still passed! I didn't get a blood flow update yet though. Off to shower and then back to bed.

The BPP Is just part of the equation (coupled with my every 4 hour non-stress tests, blood work, my BP, etc) but it's the most comprehensive look at where we are at day to day.

So every day we pass, he stays inside.   After being on bed rest now and seeing how this is paying off, I am certain that bed rest is saving his life.   Watching his 'performance' improve and knowing that the one day we got a 6/8, I had pushed too hard the day before, I know now that we are 100000% doing the right thing, in the right place.
